Midlands office now open

Located in Halesowen, just 10 miles south west of Birmingham, the new office reaffirms the company’s commitment to the Midlands market.

Says Bill McSheffery, Major Developments Manager: “Energetics has already secured a number of high-profile multi-utility contracts for developments in the Midlands market, including the £50million Leicester Road regeneration project in Rugby and a regeneration project with Bellway Homes in North Solihull.

“The new regional office will give us a dedicated base from which to offer our design, build and delivery ethos to both new and existing customers.”

Working alongside our sales support and project management teams, Regional Sales Manager Steve Brown, who joined Energetics in 2008 from EDF Energy, is spearheading our unique multi-utility offering to the Midlands market place.

  Well connected in Warwickshire

Energetics has now delivered electricity, gas and water connections for Warwickshire College’s brand new Rugby Centre. The state-of-the-art complex, which opens in August 2010, forms part of an 80-acre mixed use development in Leicester Road, Warwickshire and utilises many sustainable technologies including a wind turbine, photo voltaic cells, solar water heating, rainwater harvesting, combined heat and a power plant.

Delivery of the construction programme at the College was aided by temporary water supplies, installed by Energetics, prior to final connection at the end of July.

Bellway Homes appoint Energetics for North Solihull

Bellway Homes, one of the Regenerating North Solihull partners, has appointed Energetics to design and install gas and electricity networks for more than 100 new homes being built in the first phases of the £1.8billion regeneration project.

The networks will supply homes in two of the 1000-acre project’s five new Village Centres: Craigcroft and North Arran Way. Designed to improve both the area and the lives of local people, the new Village Centres will also offer shops, offices, a health centre, church, better transport links and more green space.

Market Update

During the first half of 2010 Energetics has experienced a significant boost – particularly from housing projects. In Scotland we’re involved in social housing schemes by Hart Builders and the Cruden Group, while in the North West of England we’re working on private housing developments for Bellway, Barratt and David Wilson Homes.

In the Midlands we continue to strengthen our presence with a mix of school buildings and private housing projects, including the installation of multi-utility networks at David Wilson Homes’ Silverdale development and a number of smaller housing and commercial developments such as the nearby Etruria Valley business park.

Joined Energetics: November 2008
Career history: over 25 years in sales including roles at British Gas and most recently EDF Energy where I was the Business-to-Business Manager for the Midlands

Out of hours: family, going to the races, supporting Chelsea FC

Favourite film: One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest (my warped sense of humour, perhaps?)

Favourite TV: Are there any channels other than Sky Sports??

For she's a Kili good fellow

A huge well done to Energetics’ very own Joanne Kelly who recently conquered Mount Kilimanjaro and raised £4,100 for St Andrew’s Hospice in the process. The 33-year old Commercial Analyst for Design & Build in Hamilton completed the 60km trek over five days in June, raising a whopping £1,125 in donations from staff – a figure that was then matched by the company.

Joanne has been supporting St Andrew’s Hospice – Lanarkshire’s only specialist hospice – ever since they helped care for her own mum who passed away three years ago. Previously Joanne has climbed Ben Nevis and entered 10ks… so the question is, what next Joanne?
